Regardless of whether or not you plan on having a Halloween Party at your place this year, decorating for Halloween seems to me to be a total must! so here are a few ideas for your Haunted Halloween House this year.
This is my favorite idea for room decor- what says creepy more than an unlived in house? Such an easy thing to do, cover your furniture with white sheets for that creepy ghost house look.
Another look can be the over-lived in. Complete with dusty books, stuffed owls, scientific drawings of rats, ravens and bats and threadbare furnishings and drapes.
Displays of clear jars with snakes, ravens, bats and spiders is always a great way to go.

Stairways, windows and doors

I love this so much, I want it so bad it's not even funny. There's a tutorial on Instructables.com on how to do this from scratch. But I think a simpler way to do it would be to get a werewolf halloween mask- fill it with expanding foam and mount it to a wooden plaque.
After Dracula was written, the fear of Vampires was so strong with the upper class that the fashionable European traveler never left home without one of these- a Vampire Hunting Kit. I plan on making one of these also.
For additional protection, a 'In Case of Zombies' ax may be needed.
And just because you may need an extra hand with all of this work.
And to make sure you don't forget when Halloween is.
wow these are great! thanks for the ideas!
ReplyDeleteare you kidding me? THESE ARE AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteAny recommendations as to where we can get most of these at?
ReplyDeleteA lot of things on here you could do yourself. Even the ultra-amazing werewolf head is in fact a diy project- Here's the link to the how-to for that. http://www.instructables.com/id/Halloween-decor-werewolf-head/
ReplyDeleteI despise most Halloween decorations...even though I LOVE decorating for Halloween. Most are cutesy and fake. Yours ROCK.
ReplyDeleteThank You!
I'm glad you enjoyed my Halloween round up. It's one of my favorite times of year and I love decorating for fall. I'm already getting ready for Halloween even though it's more than a month away.
Deletedo you have the instuctions on how to make the hands coming out of the walls?
ReplyDeleteI don't have that tutorial but here is one that will defiantly work for that purpose. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCc7OXZJlyw&feature=share&list=PLB1BCDDB4CBBF656C
